Chuckey-Doak 3, Seymour 0
The Chuckey-Doak volleyball team earned its first ever trip to the state tournament on Thursday night.
The Lady Black Knights traveled to Seymour for the Class AA State Sectionals and earned a 3-0 win, 27-25, 25-17, 25-14.
The Class AA State Tournament will begin on Tuesday at Rockvale High School in Murfreesboro.
South Greene 3, CSLA 2
After a wild night on Rebel Hill the South Greene volleyball team is returning to the state tournament for the 17th year in a row.
The Lady Rebels took down Chattanooga School For Liberal Arts 3-2 in the Class A State Sectionals, 25-14, 18-25, 25-22, 15-25, 15-12.
The Class A State Tournament will begin on Tuesday at Siegel High School in Murfreesboro.
CSAS 3, West Greene 0
The West Greene volleyball team came up one game short of the state tournament for the second year in a row on Thursday night as it fell to Chattanooga School of Arts and Science 3-0 (25-23, 25-18, 25-23) in the Class A State Sectionals.

Greeneville 7, Volunteer 0
The Greeneville soccer team took down Volunteer 7-0 on Thursday to claim the District 2-AA championship.
It was the Lady Greene Devils 21st consecutive district championship.
Matea Gray and Peyton Vaught had two goals and two assists for the Lady Greene Devils. Agelyn Diaz had a goal and an assist, Vivian Kammerdiener had a goal and an assist, and Elaina Philbeck scored a goal.
CROSS COUNTRY
The Greeneville boys dominated the field on Thursday to win the Greeneville Classic/ Greene County Championship on Thursday at Clyde Austin 4H Center.
The Greene Devils took the top five spots in the five kilometer race. Trey Bailey led the way with a first place finish in 18:14.84. Isaac Gibson was second in 18:22.22, Jules Richard third in 18:22.88, Grant Tunnell fourth in 18:26.95, and Carter Raby was fifth in 19:24.52.
Chuckey-Doak was third as a team led by Benjamin Merrill who was seventh overall in 19:42.03. Collin Lovins was 19th, Logan Malone 21st, Blake Lippard 22nd and Landon Brown 32nd.
South Greene was third as a team led by Noah Case who place sixth in 19:37.87. Jayden Laycek was 10th, Gabriel McKinney 24th, Aiden Hawk 31st and Blake Tween 37th.
For West Greene Julian Greenlee was 11th in 20:18.66, Jacob Morris 13th and Dakota Cassidy 41st.
For Towering Oaks Liam News was 14th in 21:05.91, Xavier Gourley 15th, Jaron Cobble 26th, Walker Harrison 27th and Ian Overholt 29th.
Towering Oaks won the girls race with Ella Harrison finishing first overall in 22:23.11. Alayna Overholt was fourth, Rachel Yantachka 11th, Riley Roberts 14th and Ana Yantachka 15th.
The South Greene girls were second led by Chelsea Metcalf who was second overall in 23:54.08. Ava Leasure was seventh, Riley Walter 12th, Mackenzie Johnson 17th and Barbera Costa-Santos was 20th.
For West Greene Ella Norris was sixth in 26:12.6, Clair Crews was ninth, Sarai Galarza was 16th, Natalie Beeler 19th and Ariel Piatt 23rd.
For Greeneville Ashlynn Ranly was third, Aley White eighth, Susan Mullhollen 10th and Vera McKinney 25th.
