Danville Otterbots 11 – Greeneville Flyboys 2
Greeneville hosted Danville in the series finale on Father’s Day and the Otterbots wasted little time taking control racing out to a 6-0 lead after the first two innings and cruising to an 11-2 victory.
Carson Ray led the Flyboys offensively, going 3-for-3 with a double and two singles while driving in both Greeneville runs. Bryan Williams Jr. added a double and a single, and Ruben Zuany contributed a double.
Owen Shinada was charged with the loss after allowing six runs on seven hits over two innings. He struck out two and walked one.
The Flyboys dropped to 6-8 on the season and will travel to Bluefield for a three-game series against the Ridge Runners beginning Tuesday.
