ROCK HILL, S.C. — Tusculum University punter Stefaan Forbes has been named the WePlayed Sports South Atlantic Conference Special Teams Football Player of the Week.
Forbes, a senior from Tulsa, Oklahoma, averaged 51.5 yards on his four punts in Saturday’s 30-28 conference win over Anderson University. He pinned two punts inside the 20 yard-line including a 59-yarder in the fourth quarter. He also recorded punts of 46, 55 and 46 yards while also posting six kickoffs with two resulting in touchbacks.
Forbes currently leads the SAC in punting, averaging 45.8 yards per punt which is also ranked fourth in NCAA Division II.
Tusculum returns to action this Saturday when the Pioneers travel to UVA Wise for a 2 p.m. contest.
