The Appalachian League Office has named Greeneville Flyboy Ezra McNaughton as the Player of the Month for June.
The BYU freshman claimed two of the league’s four Player of the Week honors during the month and was a dominant force throughout the first part of the season. Through 18 games, he posted a .406 batting average and a 1.368 OPS.
McNaughton currently leads the league in OPS and home runs (8), ranks second in RBIs (22), third in both hits (24) and stolen bases (11), and holds the fourth-highest batting average.
He has also been selected to the Appy League Select Team, which will face the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team at Atrium Health Ballpark in Fayetteville, NC, on July 4.
