The new-look Chuckey-Doak Black Knights will enter 2024 with some high expectations even under a new head coach. Billy Kaylor takes over Chuckey-Doak replacing Dallas Kuykendall, who took over at Morristown East.
The season begins for the Black Knights on August 18 as they’ll host Unaka from Lower Afton to kickoff the 2023 campaign. A big test in week two as the Black Knights will remain at home to face Grainger.
The first road game of the season for the Black Knights will be a quick trip down the road to Mosheim as they’ll play at West Greene on August 31 before returning home for a second Greene County matchup with the South Greene Rebels on September 8.
Chuckey-Doak will begin a three-game road trip beginning on September 15 as they’ll travel to Pigeon Forge followed by trips to Cocke County on September 22 and a trip to Claiborne on September 29.
The 2023 Homecoming game will be on October 6 from Chuckey-Doak High School as they’ll host Johnson County before their final road game of the regular season at Unicoi County.
The regular season concludes with Black Knight Senior Night on October 26, which is a Thursday night showcase, as they host Gatlinburg-Pittman to close the regular season.
