The Greeneville, South Greene and West Greene track teams competed in a meet at Greeneville Middle School on Tuesday afternoon, and both programs had several athletes turn in strong showings.
South Greene Abbey Hoxie picked up two first-place finishes, running the 100 meters in 13.99 seconds and the 400 meters in 1:10.99.
In the 100 meters South Greene’s Natalie Foshie was fifth. In the 400 meters South Greene’s Samantha Birdwell was third and Foshie was fifth.
Greeneville’s Reese Williams won the 800 meters in 2:55.51, and teammate Darla Kammerdiener was first in the 1,600 meters in 6:16.71.
West Greene’s Sarai Galarza was fifth in the 800 and West Greene’s Sophia Taylor was second in the 1,600.
Greeneville’s Jacey Goodwin won the high jump with a leap of 5’0”. South Greene’s Ava Brobeck was third. Greeneville’s Ahonesti Holmes was first in the long jump at 15’,0.5”
In the pole vault Greenville’s Willow Aiken was first at 6’6”. Greeneville’s Lorelei Birdwell was second, Greeneville’s Trudi Aiken was third and South Greene’s Eva Weems was fourth.
South Greene’s Foshie won the discus with a toss of 100’5”. South Greene’s Madison Darnell was fourth and West Greene’s Brooklyn Hyatt was fifth.
In the shot put South Greene’s Darnell was second, while teammates Foshie, Myesha Lewis and Kyli Seaton were third, fourth and fifth respectively.
In the 3,200 meters Towering Oaks Ella Harrison was first in 14:19.87. Greeneville’s Alley White was third.
In the 100-meter hurdles West Greene’s Emily Crisp was third, West Greene’s Madison Harville was fourth and South Greene’s Miranda Metcalf was fifth.
The Greeneville girls won the 4×100, 4×400 and 4×800.
In the boys events South Greene’s Tripp Neas won the 100 meters in 11.52 seconds. Greeneville Jaxon Nichols was fourth.
Greeneville’s Trey Bailey won the 800 in 2:03.04. Teammate Jules Richard was fourth.
In the 1,600 Greeneville’s Grant Tunnell was first in 4:58.99. South Greene’s Noah Case was fifth.
In the high jump Greeneville’s Darien Humphries was first with a leap 5’8”. South Greene’s Evan Stills was second, Greeneville’s Taren Claridy was third, South Greene’s Noah Wright was fourth and South Greene’s Neas was fifth.
Zaydyn Anderson of Greeneville won the triple jump with a leap of 43’5”. Greeneville’s Malaki Muyanja was fourth.
In the pole vault Greeneville’s Jacob Moore was first at 13’0”. Micah Muyanja was second.
Greeneville’s Brandon Iezzi won the discus with a throw of 123’8”. Greeneville’s C.J. Reyes was second, Bishop Merriweather third and Jacob Justis was fourth.
In the shot put Greeneville’s Zorian Harris was first at 44’2”. South Greene’s Heath Norton was second, Greeneville’s Dillon Hartman was third and South Greene’s Neas was fourth.
South Greene’s Case was second in the 400 meters and Greeneville’s Caleb Ford was fifth.
In the 200 meters Greeneville’s Dion Phipps was fourth. In the 110 meter hurdles Greeneville’s Elijah Dabney was second.
In the long jump Greeneville’s Lucrease Parkey was third.
The Greeneville boys won the 4×800 meters.
