South Greene 15, Hampton 2
The South Greene baseball team went to Hampton on Tuesday night and picked up a 15-2 win.
The Rebels earned 15 hits in the win with Charlie Lane going 3-for-6 with a home run, three RBIs and three runs scored.
Brendan Lisenby was 2-for-2 with a double, three walks and three runs scored. Seth Franklin was 2-for-4 with a double and three RBIs. Tyler Davis was 3-for-4 with three RBIs. Eli Fillers was 2-for-3 with three RBIs and two walks.
On the mound Davis threw seven innings with two strikeouts, two walks and five hits allowed.
West Greene 4, Johnson County 2
The West Greene baseball team earned a 4-2 win over Johnson County on Tuesday afternoon.
The Buffaloes only earned three hits in the win. Conner Campbell had a single with two RBIs. Brandon Hunter had a double and scored two runs. Christian Hunter had a single.
Campbell went 6 2/3 innings on the mound with four strikeouts, three walks, and seven hits allowed. Braden McCamey faced one batter and struck him out on three pitches.
Chuckey-Doak 9, Happy Valley 2
Chuckey-Doak 6, Happy Valley 5
The Chuckey-Doak baseball team swept a double-header at Happy Valley on Tuesday, winning the first game 6-5 and taking the second 9-2.
In the first game the Black Knights got seven hits from seven different players. Randall Sauceman, Lynkin Cutshaw, Cooper Seay, James Seidl, Gavin Crum, Dom Atchison and Shane Cook all had singles.
On the mound Gavin Crum threw six innings with seven strikeouts, three walks and five hits allowed. Cutshaw with threw one inning with one strikeout and one hit allowed.
In game two the Black Knights earned 10 hits. Jake Hinkle was 2-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI. Seay went 3-for-4 with a double, two RBIs, and two runs scored. Kiptyn Ball went 2-for-3 with a double and three runs scored. Sauceman was 3-for-3 with a double and four RBIs.
Cutshaw threw four innings with nine strikeouts, four walks and one hit allowed. Ball threw one inning with two strikeouts, one walk and one hit allowed.
North Greene 10, Cloudland 0
The North Greene baseball team completed the season sweep of Cloudland with a 10-0 win on Tuesday.
At the plate Isaac Gaby went 2-for-4 with two doubles, three RBIs, and three runs scored. Wyat Burns was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs. Owen Pierce had a double and Christian Cogdill had two RBIs. Tyler Britton picked four walks.
Britton earned the win on the mound. In four innings he struck out five, walked two and allowed no hits.
Greeneville 13, Cherokee 2
The Greeneville baseball team went to Cherokee on Tuesday and earned a 13-2 win.
At the plate Kaine Ricker went 2-for-3 with a home run, five RBIs and two runs scored. Carson Quillen was 2-for-3 with a double one RBI and three runs scored. Carson Norris had a double and scored two runs. Noah Murray went 2-for-3, and Maddox Bishop had two RBIs.
On the mound Norris threw 3 2/3 innings with five strikeouts, one walk and one hit allowed. Sam Thompson threw 1 1/3 innings with one hit allowed.
SOFTBALL
South Greene 11, Hampton 0
The South Greene softball team took down Hampton 11-0 on Tuesday in District 1-2A play.
Madison Hensley led the Lady Rebels offense by going 2-for-2 with a double, while scoring three runs. Whitney Reaves was 2-for-3 with a double. Neveah Davis had a double and two RBIs. Kortnei Bailey and Rachel Johnston each had three RBIs. Paisley Brobeck had a triple.
In the circle Bailey earned the win with three strikeouts, one walk and two hits allowed.
SOCCER
Greeneville 6, Grainger 0
The Greeneville soccer team beat Grainger 6-0 on Tuesday in District 2-AA play.
Cole Wilcox, Sam Gourley, Caden Jordan, Gabe Oakley, Justin Banegas, and Matthew Lindberg all scored goals. The Greene Devils attempted 25 shots with 17 on frame.
