Greeneville Middle School Football opens its season today on the road at Boone, looking to set the tone for another strong campaign. The program enters the year riding the momentum of back-to-back championships, with players and coaches focused on keeping that streak alive. The Boone matchup will be the first test of the season, offering a chance to gauge where the team stands against quality competition.
The coaching staff of Todd Pait, JP Hall, Jamel Hall, Alex Jones, and Greg Dykes has been preparing the squad for weeks, emphasizing discipline, execution, and resilience. Practices have been geared toward building a balanced team capable of producing on both sides of the ball. Their goal is to ensure that every player is ready to step up when called upon, regardless of the situation. Coach Pait when asked what the team’s culture was building towards said “We preach fostering the Greeneville culture and upholding the tradition of excellence.”
With two straight titles already in the books, Greeneville’s pursuit of a third consecutive championship brings both pride and pressure. Opponents know they are facing one of the area’s top programs, which means the target on Greeneville’s back is as large as ever. Today’s game at Boone will be the first opportunity to show that this team is prepared to meet the challenge head-on.
