Greeneville’s dynamic duo of quarterback Caden Baugh and receiver Zaydyn Anderson were named semifinalists for Class 4A’s Mr. Football award on Thursday morning.
Baugh has lit up the scoreboard and stuffed the stat sheet week-by-week. He’s been an efficient 82-for-106 (77.36%) with 1,952 passing yards and 29 touchdowns while only throwing one interception. He has a quarterback rating of 320.44. Baugh has rushed for 826 yards on 98 carries with 10 more touchdowns through 10 games.
Anderson has been Baugh’s favorite targets all year. The University of Tennessee commitment has caught 33 balls on 37 targets for 1,014 yards and 16 touchdowns. He is the first Greeneville receiver since Dorien Goddard (2018) to break the 1,000-yard mark in a single season. He has returned nine punts for 138 yards and one touchdown. Anderson taken back 3 kickoffs for 88 yards to bring his all-purpose yards total to 1,240.
On defense Anderson has an interception and three pass break ups with 15 tackles and an assist.

Baugh and Anderson join Brigham Lyons (1988), Dustin Moore (1993), Byron Gillespie (1996), Cody Baugh (2002), Willie Carmichael (2010), Terrell Rollins (2011), Jamal Hall (2011), Desmond Dabbs (2015), Cade Ballard (2017, 2018), Ty Youngblood (2019), Mason Gudger (2021), & Carson Quillen (2024) as the other nominees or semifinalists in Greeneville’s history.
The Tennessee Titans Mr. Football Awards will be presented to the top football players in nine classifications of the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at Nissan Stadium in Nashville. The top kicker in the state will be recognized with a Mr. Football Award, regardless of classification.
The three finalists for each award and Kicker of the Year (total 30) will be unveiled by Taylor Zarzour and Titans interim head coach Mike McCoy on Titans Football, airing on Tuesday, November 25 on WKRN News 2 at 6:30 pm CT. The announcement will also be streamed on www.tennesseetitans.com, the Official Titans Mobile App and @Titans on X, Facebook and YouTube at 8pm ET/7pm CT.
A committee of statewide sports writers selected winners based on performance in the 2025 regular season. Academics and character were also taken into consideration. High school head coaches and members of the media nominated the finalists.
