After the Greene Devils took down Sevier County, the No.1 ranked team in Class 5A, on Friday night by a score of 49-21 Greeneville head coach Eddie Spradlen has been named the Tennessee Titans High School Coach of the Week.
The Titans High School Coach of the Week is designed to recognize high school football coaches who continuously demonstrate dedication to their football programs, by building successful football teams both on and off the field.
Each week during the season, the Titans will nominate three coaches from across the state for their team’s outstanding performance, and fans vote on which coach should be named the Titans High School Coach of the Week. The award aims to recognize a Tennessee high school football coach for an outstanding performance on Friday night and exceptional program leadership throughout the year.
Spradlen received 53 percent of the vote, outpacing Matt Lowe of Powell and Tony Burnetti of Pearl Cohn.
Greeneville will receive a $2,000 grant from the from the Titans Foundation.
