After a weather delay pushed their matchup to Wednesday, Greeneville wasted no time asserting dominance over Chuckey Doak, securing a 15-3 victory.
The Lady Knights struck first as Saniah Atchison led off with a solo homer to left. Later in the inning, Tralyn Southerland drove in Jade Foreman, who had reached on a walk, giving Chuckey Doak a 2-0 lead. With runners on second and third and only one out, the Lady Knights looked poised for more, but Greeneville starter Jaime Jackson escaped the jam with back-to-back strikeouts.
The Lady Devils responded emphatically in the bottom of the first, erupting for eight runs. Kaylee Garland ignited the rally with a leadoff home run, while Brooke Parsley and Jaime Jackson contributed RBI singles to fuel the offensive surge.
After a scoreless second inning for Chuckey Doak, Greeneville added another run in the bottom half as Brynlee Jones launched a solo shot to center, extending the lead to 9-2.
Down 10-2 in the third, Atchison worked a two-out walk, then stole second and third before scoring on a line-drive single from Madison Malone.
Greeneville put the game out of reach in the fourth with five more runs, capped by Garland’s second homer of the game—a three-run blast.
With the win, the Lady Devils improve to 6-5 and will compete in the Eastman Invitational in Kingsport on Thursday, March 27. Chuckey Doak will look to bounce back against Hampton on Tuesday, April 1.
