Coming out of a long hiatus due to inclement weather the West Greene boys basketball team finished last week with two important District 1-2A wins. Senior big man Ayden Lamons led the way in the Buffaloes’ wins over Johnson County and Happy Valley, and for that he has been the Greene Sports Zone Player of the Week.
Lamons started his big week with a 17-point effort in a 64-52 win over Johnson County on Thursday. He followed that up on Friday with 20 points in a 65-53 win over Happy Valley. In those games he averaged 11 rebounds, three assists and 3.5 blocks per game.
