North Greene 64, Clay County KY 53
The North Greene girls basketball team erased a 10-point halftime deficit to pick up a 64-53 win over Clay County, Kentucky at the Smoky Mountain Christmas Classic in Gatlinburg on Thursday.
Tralyn Southerland led the Lady Huskies with 25 points in the win and Cadie McDevitt put in 17 points.
North Greene will be back in action on Friday in Gatlinburg at 1 p.m.
Science Hill 56, Greeneville 53
The Greeneville girls basketball team let a 16-point lead get away on Thursday in the Doc Maples Classic in Bristol and fell to Science Hill 56-53.
Brylee Tulllock finished with 23 points and 12 rebounds for the Lady Devils. Maria Lyde had 15 points and eight rebounds. Lyde also reached 1,000 career points and 500 career rebounds on Thursday.
Clara Crowe scored 16 points for Science Hill and Khloe Sommers had 14 points.
Greeneville will take on Abingdon, Virginia on Friday at 3 p.m. in Bristol.
West Greene 60, University High 29
The West Greene girls were dominant on Thursday night as they took down University High 60-29 in the first round of the Big H BBQ Christmas Bash at Cherokee High School.
Everybody on the roster scored for West Greene on Thursday, and Joie Shipley led the scoring effort with 18 points.
West Greene will play South Greene on Friday at 7 p.m. in the tournament’s semifinals.

South Greene 63, Cosby 60
In an up-and-down contest on Thursday in the Big H BBQ Christmas Bash at Cherokee High School the South Greene boys erased a 17-point deficit and let a 10-point lead get away before escaping with a 63-60 win over Cosby.
Charlie Lane and Gavin Dyer each scored 18 points for the Rebels while Noah Wright and Cayden Filler each had nine points.
Cosby’s Cruz Coggins led all scorers with 27 points.
South Greene will play North Greene at 8:30 on Friday in the tournament’s semifinals.
