Chuckey-Doak 10, Gatlinburg-Pittman 3
The Chuckey-Doak baseball team went on the road on Thursday and picked up a 10-3 win over Gatlinburg-Pittman.
The Black Knights used nine hits to score their 10 runs. Cooper Seay led the way by going 3-for-4 with an RBI. Randall Sauceman went 2-for-4 with a double. James Seidl had a double, and Ben Palazzo had two RBIs. Jake Hinkle walked three times and scored three runs.
Lynkin Cutshaw threw six innings with seven strikeouts, two walks and one hit allowed to earn the win. Gavin Murray threw one inning with one strikeout, no walks and two hits allowed.
Pigeon Forge 6, South Greene 0
The South Greene baseball team fell to Pigeon Forge 6-0 on Thursday.
The Rebels earned three hits in the loss with Brendan Lisenby, Colby Brooks and Pablo Rosario all earning singles.
Pigeon Forge only had one hit, but it took advantage of 11 walks and four errors to earn the win.
On the mound Zach Mason threw 3 1/3 innings for South Greene with nine walks, two strikeouts, and one hit allowed. Seth Franklin threw 1 2/3 innings with three strikeouts, two walks, and one hit allowed.
SOFTBALL
South Greene 16, Johnson County 2
The South Greene softball team picked up a 16-2 win over Johnson County on Thursday afternoon to improve to 2-0 in District 1-2A play.
The Lady Rebels pounded out 17 hits in the winning effort. Whitney Reaves went 3-for-3 with a double and four RBIs. Madison Hensley was 3-for-3 with four runs scored. Neveah Davis was 3-for-3 with four runs scored. Hailey Williamson went 3-for-3 with a double and four RBIs. Kortnei Bailey was 2-for-2 with a double and three runs scored. Regan Arrowood went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and Paisley Brobeck had a triple and scored two runs.
In the circle Bailey threw five innings with seven strikeouts, one walk and four hits allowed.
