North Greene 75, Jellico 46
The North Greene girls improved to 3-0 on Thursday by taking down Jellico 75-46.
The Lady Huskies were led by their seniors in the road win. Natalie Foshie scored 21 points, hitting three three-pointers and going 8-for-8 at the foul line. Ella Head got inside and scored 18 points. Sophomore Cade McDevitt was also in double figures with 13 points.
Chuckey-Doak 60, KACHEA 29
The Chuckey-Doak girls basketball team started the 2025-26 season with a win, taking down the Kingsport Area Christian Home Education Association 60-29.
The win was the first for the Lady Black Knights under new head coach Tanner Early.
Carlene Bishop led Chuckey-Doak’s offense with 21 points and Jayden Myers put in 13 points. Chloe Kirkpatrick chipped in with nine points.
Myla Johnson scored 14 points for KACHEA.

Bearden 72, Greeneville 55
The Greeneville girls basketball team dropped its season opener on Thursday at Bearden 72-55.
Senior Brylee Tullock put in 23 points and scored her 2,000th career point. She also grabbed 11 rebounds and had four assists.
Maria Lyde had 14 points, 11 rebounds, three assists and three blocks. Julia Woolsey had nine points, three rebounds and four assists for Greeneville.
Bearden was led by Missouri Signee Natalya Hodge who scored 25 points.

BOYS
Chuckey-Doak 54, KACHEA 53
The Chuckey-Doak boys basketball team had to hold off the Kingsport Area Christian Home Education Association on Thursday night but managed to get a 54-53 win on the first night of the season.
Freshman Logan Malone lifted Chuckey-Doak to victory by making a pair of free throw with 2.9 seconds remaining.
Ryland Grindstaff led the Black Knights with 19 points, 10 of them came in the fourth quarter.
Daniel Joyner led KACHEA with 12 points.

Playing shorthanded the Greeneville boys basketball team started the season with a 65-14 loss to Bearden on Thursday.
Sean Capshaw led Bearden with 12 points, while Brooks Bowers led Greeneville with five points.
