Greeneville 9, Science Hill 4
The Greeneville baseball team picked up a big win over Science Hill on Wednesday evening, taking down the Hilltoppers 9-4.
The Greene Devils earned 10 hits on Wednesday and five of them went for extra bases. Grayson Crosby was 2-for-3 with two doubles and three RBIs. Maddox Bishop was 2-for-3 with two runs scored. Sam Thompson was 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Kaine Ricker went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Tegan Begley and Will Harmon each had a double.
On the mound Sam Thompson turned in a gritty performance. In seven innings he scattered seven hits and allowed just two earned run. He struck out one and walked none while using just 95 pitches.
SOFTBALL
Science Hill 11, South Greene 1
The South Greene softball team fell to Science Hill 11-1 on Wednesday evening.
The Lady Rebels were held to two hits. Hailey Williamson and Kortnei Bailey each had a single.
In the circle Paisley Brobeck took the loss. In 2.1 innings she walked two and allowed five hits. Nevaeh Davis threw 3.2 innings with two strikeouts, six walks and five hits allowed.
