The high school football season is upon us with week one beginning on Friday night and Radio Greeneville will have coverage of three games to kick off the season.
Starting in Bristol, the Greeneville Greene Devils look to keep their regular season winning streak alive as they play at Tennessee High. The Greene Devils have won 22 straight regular season games dating back to the 2020 regular season. Coverage of Greeneville at Tennessee High begins with the Food City Scoreboard at 6:30 p.m. with kickoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on 99.5 FM WGRV.
In the first Greene County showdown of 2023, the North Greene Huskies make the trip to Mosheim for a game with the West Greene Buffaloes. West Greene has won 16 straight against the Huskies, but the Huskies will enter the game upset-minded to begin the new season. Coverage of North Greene and West Greene begins with the Food City Scoreboard at 6:30 p.m. with kickoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on 103.1 FM WIKQ.
Right down the road, it’ll be the South Greene Rebels kicking off their season as they host David Crockett. It’ll be the first meeting between the Rebels and Pioneers since 2011 with both teams looking to improve from last season. Coverage of South Greene and David Crockett begins with the Food City Scoreboard at 6:30 p.m. with kickoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on 95.5 FM WSMG.
