SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Tennessee redshirt senior golfer Lance Simpson is inside the top 10 after 36 holes at the Fighting Irish Classic.
Simpson carded a pair of 1-under 69s in rounds one and two. He currently sits tied for ninth. Simpson’s first round included a bogey-free front nine and in his second round, he registered an eagle on hole five.
As a team, UT sits in ninth place at 8-over.
Jackson Herrington and Josh Hill each sit tied for 28th after two rounds of play. Herrington opened the tournament with a 2-over 72 but recovered nicely in the second round with an even-par 70. Hill posted a pair of 71s.
Bruce Murphy and Reed Lotter (Individual) are tied for 52nd and are 6-over going into round three.
The final member of the lineup, freshman Chase Kyes, is in 73rd heading into the third round.
