AUSTIN, Texas — Six Tusculum University student-athletes have been named to the 2026 NCAA Division II Men’s Cross Country / Track & Field Academic All-District® 3 first team as selected by the College Sports Communicators.
Earning Academic All-District® honors are: Chazz Alexander, Jamal Cash, Noah Girard, Nour Nabi, John Ross and Justin Williams.
The 2026 Academic All-District® Men’s Cross Country and Track & Field Team recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the track and in the classroom.
District 3 is comprised of colleges and universities representing the South Atlantic Conference, Peach Belt Conference and Conference Carolinas. To be eligible, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 (undergraduate and graduate) or higher and must be at least a sophomore. Nominees must have recorded an individual top-50 performance in the region based on their TFRRS performance list rankings.
Alexander, a junior sprinter from Palo Seco, Trinidad and Tobago, has a 3.87 GPA while majoring in business administration. He is a member of the SAC Commissioner’s Honor Roll, Dean’s List, Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and the Charles Oliver Gray Honors List.
Alexander finished second in the 400 meters and was part of the second-place 4×400-meter relay at the SAC Outdoor Championship. He also had a sixth-place finish in the 400 meters at the SAC Indoor Championship. Alexander set the program outdoor record in the 400 meters with a time of 47.00 seconds at the Electric City Invitational, and is ranked second in program history in the indoor 400.
Cash, a graduate student from Kingman, Arizona, is working on his Master’s degree in sport management and has a 3.92 GPA. He is a member of the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll, Dean’s List and SAC Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
Cash placed eighth in the 60 hurdles at the SAC Indoor Championship, then took 10th in the 400 hurdles and 12th in the 110 hurdles at the SAC Outdoor Championship. He is ranked third in program history in the 110 hurdles and sixth in the 400 hurdles, and third in the 60 hurdles. Cash had eight top-10 finishes in the SAC Championship in his career.
Girard, a junior from Enfield, Connecticut, returns to the CSC Academic All-District® Team for a second straight year. He has a 3.97 GPA while majoring in sport science and is a member of the Dean’s List, President’s List, SAC Commissioner’s Honor Roll, Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and the Charles Oliver Gray Honors List. He is also a recipient of the D2ADA Academic Achievement Award.
Girard finished fifth in the javelin at the SAC Championship for the second straight season, and had five of the top nine performances in the javelin in program history this year. He owns the school record of 54.37 meters set during the 2025 season and has three meet victories in the event for his career.
Nabi, a junior from Woodbridge, Virginia, has a 3.73 GPA while majoring in business administration. He is a member of the SAC Commissioner’s Honor Roll, Dean’s List, Charles Oliver Gray Honors List and the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll. He is also a recipient of the D2ADA Academic Achievement Award.
Nabi had a seventh-place finish in the decathlon at the SAC Outdoor Championship after placing sixth in the heptathlon at the SAC Indoor Championship. Nabi had a score of 5,099 points and placed third in the decathlon at the Electric City Invitational, posting three season-best marks during the competition. Nabi ranks in the top 10 in program history in both the 110 and 400 hurdles along with the high jump and pole vault.
Ross, a sophomore from Mount Carmel, Tennessee, is majoring in psychology and has a 3.69 GPA. He is a member of the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll, SAC Commissioner’s Honor Roll, Dean’s List and Charles Oliver Gray Honors List.
Ross took seventh in the 400 hurdles at the SAC Outdoor Championship and was part of the fifth-place distance medley relay at the SAC Indoor Championship. He is ranked ninth in program history in the 400 hurdles and ranks seventh in the indoor 400 meters, which he set at the VMI Winter Classic in February.
Williams, a sophomore from Suffolk, Virginia, has a 3.58 GPA while majoring in computer science. He is a member of the SAC Commissioner’s Honor Roll, Dean’s List, Charles Oliver Gray Honors List and Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.
Williams was third in the decathlon at the SAC Outdoor Championship, scoring a program-record 5,436 points and setting career bests in six of the 10 events. At the Electric City Invitational in April, Williams was second with 5,404 points and set career bests in the javelin and 400 meters. He added a 10th-place finish in the 60 hurdles at the SAC Indoor Championship and was 10th in the 110 hurdles at the SAC Outdoor Championship.
The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men’s at-large honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced July 14, 2026.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-2026 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs.
