After a spectacular senior season on the gridiron South Greene’s Nash Rader was recognized by the Tennessee Sports Writers Association on Friday by being named to the Class 2A All-State Team.

Rader took over at quarterback for the Rebels this season after spending the previous two seasons as the team’s starting running back. He led the Rebels to an 8-4 record before they fell to Marion County in the second round of the playoffs. Rader was selected to the All-State team as an athlete.

In 2025 Rader led the Rebels with 1,279 rushing yards while averaging 7.8 yards per carry and scoring 22 touchdowns. Through the air he was 45-of-89 for 868 yards with 10 touchdowns and five interceptions.

On defense Rader made 20 tackles with one interception and two fumble recoveries.

He was named the Region 1-2A Athlete of the Year and was named to the Greene Sports Zone All-Greene County Team.
