A shorthanded Greeneville bowling team welcomed Pigeon Forge to The Alley for a conference matchup Thursday afternoon. The Tigers clawed their way through the match and came away with an 18–9 victory.
Eli Williams set the tone early with a 201 as Pigeon Forge jumped out to a 6–2 lead in the opening game. Daxton Parton followed with a 199, and Martin Moradel added a 157. For Greeneville, Aadin Sandidge paced the Devils with a 189, while Caleb Payne added a 165.
Greeneville battled back in the second game, trimming the deficit to 10–6 behind wins from Quinten Scalf (150), Sandidge (144), Payne (141), and Jon Gilbert (134). Williams stayed hot for the Tigers, rolling a 206.
Pigeon Forge took the first Baker game 139–111, while Greeneville answered by winning the second 164–150.
The Greene Devils, now 2–4 in conference play, will turn their attention to hosting Gatlinburg-Pittman on Monday at The Alley. The match is scheduled for 4:15 p.m.
