LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Tusculum University softball team finished with the 19th-best team grade point average across NCAA Division II, according to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA)/Easton Top-10 list. TU had the second-highest GPA across the region.
Tusculum posted an impressive 3.7 team GPA during the 2025-26 academic year while 21 Pioneers earned NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete distinction. NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes must achieve a 3.5 or better GPA during the academic year only.
Garnering NFCA Scholar-Athlete honors are: Kaylee Adkins (Pierceton, Ind.), Ellie Alvarez (Plano, Ill.), Dani Beckham (Valdosta, Ga.), Lily Kate Cariaco (Marietta, Ga.), Kylie Darrow (Jackson, Mo.), Andrea Davis (Hiram, Ga.), Muriel Dillow (Abingdon, Va.), Faith Gibbs (Collierville, Tenn.), Ava Hallows (Waynesville, Ohio), Addison Hoffner (Lexington, S.C.), Abby Hunter (Clemmons, N.C.), Sammy Jimenez (Bartlett, Ill.), Katie Jones (Greenback, Tenn.), Ella Majchrzak (Chapin, S.C.), Hailey Nichols (Knoxville, Tenn.), Catherine O’Donohue (Pinckney, Mich.), Aleyia Satterfield (Maynardville, Tenn.), Brooke Smith (Acworth, Ga.), Natalie Spaitis (Schaumburg, Ill.), Chelsey Stonesifer (Littlestown, Pa.), and Izzy Wilson (Lebanon, Tenn.).
Six TU student-athletes earned NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors with a perfect 4.0 GPA during the academic year (Addison Hoffner, Dani Beckham, Ellie Alvarez, Kylie Darrow, Natalie Spaitis, and Sammy Jimenez).
Tusculum begins the 2027 season in February, riding the momentum of 20 or more wins in 15-straight full seasons (excluding the shortened COVID year).
