GREENEVILLE, Tenn. — Tusculum University has named Bianca Rojas as the new women’s lacrosse head coach announced Josh Ealy, Vice President for Athletics.
Rojas becomes the fourth head coach in the program’s history and brings with her seven years of experience as a collegiate head coach.
She comes to Tusculum after spending the last four years (2022-2026) guiding the Georgetown College lacrosse program. The Tigers amassed 30 victories and finished fourth or better in the Appalachian Athletic Conference in each of her four campaigns at the Georgetown, Kentucky school.
During her tenure at Georgetown, she mentored five NAIA All-Americans, three AAC Players of the Year, 20 All-Conference selections and four AAC All-Tournament honorees. Her GC student-athletes also garnered six conference players of the week nods including two earning national player of the week recognition. Rojas’ teams established 11 program single-game records and 12 Georgetown season marks.
“We are excited to welcome Bianca Rojas to our Pioneer Family as she leads our women’s lacrosse program into this next chapter,” said Ealy. “During the search process her passion to coach, teach and mentor young women through lacrosse was evident. Our program is in great hands under Bianca’s leadership.”
Her GC clubs also shined in the classroom as 21 of her players earned AAC All-Academic distinction including three NAIA Scholar Athletes and three IWLCA Academic Honor Roll picks. The Georgetown women’s lacrosse team earned Champions of Character laurels four times and her squad had the top team grade point average of the athletic department.
Prior to Georgetown, she served as the head coach at Point University from 2019-2022. During her time at the West Point, Georgia school, she successfully navigated the program through the COVID pandemic and was able to keep her team competitive on the field and strong in the classroom. Rojas led her team into the top-15 of the NAIA rankings, while also coaching multiple players to All-Conference accolades.
“I am incredibly honored and excited to be named the head women’s lacrosse coach at Tusculum University,” Rojas said. “I want to thank President Dr. Scott Hummel and Vice President of Athletics Josh Ealy for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to lead the program.”
Rojas has served in numerous leadership positions at both the league and national levels. She has served on the IWLCA mentoring and awards committees, while also being chair of the AAC Women’s Lacrosse Committee from 2022-2026. She has served on the NAIA National Tournament Committee and the NAIA All-America Committee.
She played collegiately as Shorter University, where she ranks fifth in program history with 107 career goals, third with 37 assists and sixth with 144 career points. She also holds the school record with 235 ground balls and is fifth with 55 caused turnovers. She also holds the program’s single-game record with 10 points in a contest.
“I am very excited to get to know and build relationships with our current players and connect with future Pioneers,” Rojas added. “I look forward to continuing to build on top of a program that is on the rise and one that our university and community can be proud of. The future of Tusculum women’s lacrosse is very bright, and I cannot wait to see what we can accomplish together.”
Rojas graduated from Shorter in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and later earned a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Columbus State University in 2017.
