The TSSAA official “Dead Period” comes to a conclusion today as fall sports practice can officially begin today throughout the state.
Football will begin with heat acclimation as well as 7-on-7’s this week just a little over a month away from the first official week of the regular season. Radio Greeneville will preview each high school football team’s schedule beginning on July 24th and will announce the 2023 radio schedule on July 31st. The first local high school football games will be on Thursday, August 17, and Friday, August 18.
Also beginning practice over the next two weeks will be girls’ soccer, volleyball, cross country, and golf. Students remain on Summer Break through August 2nd with the first official day for all students in Greeneville and Greene County on Friday, August 4th.
