During his tenure at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference program, he oversaw improvement from past seasons with the KU men boasting a seven-win campaign in 2022-2023 for their highest victory tally in six seasons. The women recorded an eight-win season that year, the program’s best showing since 2013-2014.

“I could not be more excited to be taking over the men’s and women’s tennis programs at Tusculum University,” Pauley said. “I would firstly like to thank (VP for Athletics) Josh Ealy for his dedication to the tennis programs and providing me with the opportunity to be the head tennis coach at Tusculum. His dedication to building a strong athletic department was clear from the moment I first spoke with him and a large reason why I chose to become a Pioneer.”
During the 2019-2020 season, he assumed the role of assistant coach for the men’s team at Saint Louis University where the Bilikens went 5-8 to open the year before the season was cut short due to COVID-19.
Before his time as an assistant at SLU, Pauley took the reins of the UHSP St. Louis men’s and women’s teams for the spring of 2019, leading both teams to American Midwest Conference/Heart of America Athletic Conference Championships appearances.
The 2018 Quincy University graduate spent a season as a volunteer assistant at Missouri-St. Louis helping the Tritons during the fall season of 2018.
Pauley was a four-year starter at Quincy where he was team captain and a two-time GLVC Academic All-Conference selection along with an ITA All-Academic nod in 2016. He graduated with honors earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in history.
My wife and I are excited to raise our family within the close-knit community of Greeneville and making the area our home,” Pauley added. “I am looking forward to building upon the success that Tusculum tennis has had in the past and developing our programs into consistent contenders within the South Atlantic Conference.”
Pauley is married to the former Jackie Farbak of New Lenox, Illinois and they are the proud parents of two children, Wes and Sadie.
Pauley becomes the 12th head coach in the storied history of the Tusculum tennis program and the seventh in the NCAA Division II era (1998-present).
