SPARTANBURG, S.C. (Aug. 18, 2025) – The ETSU men’s soccer team was picked fourth in the 2025 SoCon preseason poll as voted on by the coaches, the conference office announced on Monday.

UNCG, seeking its first SoCon championship of since winning both the regular season and tournament titles in 2022, was the favorite with four first-place votes and 24 total points. Furman, the reigning tournament champion, was selected second with 22 points and two first-place votes.

The Buccaneers look to extend their run of regular season titles to an unprecedented third consecutive in 2025 under second-year head coach Allen Vital. The season begins Thursday night at Emory & Henry at 6:00pm, and the Bucs open their home schedule with High Point on August 25, also at 6:00pm.
