GOLF
The Greeneville girls golf team earned the District 1-A Championship on Monday at Elizabethton Golf Course while the Greeneville boys, Chuckey-Doak girls and South Greene boys all advanced to the Region 1-A Tournament.
The Lady Devils shot a 158 as a team to outdistance second place by 40 strokes while having the top three individual scores. Kamryn Renner led the way with a 78 to earn medalist honors, Brylee Catron was second overall with an 80 and and Kylee Renner shot an 81 for third.
The Chuckey-Doak girls finished third as a team with a 204. Harley Thompson led the way with a 93 and was fourth overall as an individual. Kyleigh Crawford shot a 111 and Addilyn Boesh had a 124.
South Greene’s Khloe Laws advanced to the region as an individual by shooting a 109.
The Greeneville boys shot a 317 on Monday and came up one stroke short in a playoff hole to finish in second place behind Elizabethton. Nathan Howlett shot a 74 to place second overall, Carson Waters had a 76 to finish fourth overall, Wolfgang Raben shot 82, and Landon Aldridge 85.
The South Greene boys were third as a team with a 330. Brennan Gregg led the way with a 74 to place third as an individual. Cameron Kinser was fifth overall with a 77, Keannan Hankins had a 78 and Ben Gosnell109.

Chuckey-Doak 3, North Greene 0
The Chuckey-Doak volleyball picked up a 3-0 win over North Greene on Monday, 25-15, 25-11, 25-17.
West Greene 3, Cocke County 0
The West Greene volleyball team beat Cocke County 3-0 on Monday, 25-18, 25-19, 25-12.
