BRISTOL, Tenn. — Tusculum senior Reagan Padilla and the TU women’s golf team are both in second place after the first round of the 2025 King Invitational. The two-day, 36-hole tournament is being held at the par-71, 5,852-yard Golf Club of Bristol.

Padilla carded a one-over par score of 72 and is one shot out of the lead held by West Chester’s Hanna Lignell (71, E). Padilla finished the day with one birdie, two bogeys and 15 pars.

The Pioneers shot a team aggregate score of 302 and are two shots behind West Chester (300). North Greenville is third with 309, followed by Converse (310), Belmont Abbey (314), host King (320), Young Harris (326) and UVA Wise (340).

Tusculum’s 302 is tied for the 11th lowest team score in program history. It is the best round ever carded by a TU team at the King Invitational.

Joining Padilla in the top five is senior Annabelle Mozingo who fired a career-low 74 (+3) and is three strokes off the lead. TU sophomore Maylei Hildenbrand is in a five-way tie for seventh place with 76. Delfin Filiz is tied for 21st with 80, while McKenna Williams is 38th with 90.
