GREENEVILLE, Tenn. — Tusculum soccer goalkeeper Noe Delmotte and volleyball setter Victoria Church have been named the Zaxby’s Athletes of the Week.
Delmotte, a sophomore from Bondues, France, recorded a pair of shutouts as the Pioneers recorded a pair of 1-0 road victories at Trevecca Nazarene and Catawba. He accounted for three saves in each contest.
For Delmotte, it was his third straight shutout and fourth of the season. His four shutouts are the second-most in the South Atlantic Conference and ranks 19th nationally in NCAA Division II. He has helped the Pioneers to a 3-0-1 record in their last four outings. His 34 saves are second in the league while his .723 save percentage is sixth in the SAC.
Church, a freshman from Nashville, Tennessee, averaged 10.63 assists per set in leading Tusculum to a pair of SAC wins over Mars Hill and Catawba. In TU’s 3-2 win over Mars Hill, she accounted for a season-high 53 assists to go along with a season-best 21 digs. She followed that performance with 23 assists in a 3-0 win over Catawba.
Church is averaging 7.32 assists per set this season which ranks her fifth in the conference.
