We at Greene Sports Zone are excited to introduce you to our 2025 All-Greene County Football Team. After an amazing year on the gridiron where teams reached new heights and players earned new spots in the record books there were plenty of athletes worthy of consideration.
Players were selected based on production and impact during the 2025 season. The team was selected by the staff of Greene Sports Zone with input from area coaches. We at Greene Sports Zone covered more Greene County football than anyone else this season, we were the only outlet at every single game, we did more interviews with coaches than anyone else, and we feel we have a greater understanding of the game than any competing outlet. Because of that we feel we are most qualified to give you the best All-Greene County Football Team, so without further ado here is the All-County team, the offense.
PLAYER OF THE YEAR – Caden Baugh, Greeneville – Quarterback
Greeneville senior quarterback Caden Baugh had a spectacular senior campaign leading the Greene Devils to the state semifinals and has been named the Greene Sports Zone Offensive Player of the year.
Baugh became the fifth Greeneville player to be named Mr. Football after he brought home the state’s highest honor in Class 4A earlier this month. He finished the year with 2,653 passing yards while completing 76.7 percent of his passes and averaging 16.7 yards per pass attempt. He threw 36 touchdowns with two interceptions and only threw 37 incomplete passes in 14 games.
On the ground Baugh ran for 1,152 yards and 14 touchdowns while averaging 7.7 yards per carry.
He finished his time at Greeneville fourth in single-season passing yards. He is tied for third in single season touchdown passes. He finishes third in career touchdown passes with 57. In week one against Morristown West Baugh set the program record for the longest pass when he hit Taren Claridy for a 96-yard touchdown.
Baugh was named the Region 1-4A Co-Player of the Year.
Nash Rader, South Greene – Quarterback
Nash Rader took over South Greene’s starting quarterback this season and had a truly remarkable season as he led the Rebels to an 8-4 record. Rader led Greene County with 1,279 rushing yards and averaged 7.8 yards per carry. He ran for 22 touchdowns and five two point conversions.
As a passer he was 45-for-89 for 868 yards and 10 touchdowns.
On defense he had 20 tackles, one interception and one fumble recovery.
Rader was the Region 1-2A Athlete of the Year.
Tripp Neas, South Greene – Running Back
South Greene junior Tripp Neas emerged as one of the top running backs in the area this season. He finished the year with 1,015 yards while averaging 6.5 yards per carry with 14 rushing touchdowns. He also caught 15 passes that covered 283 yards while scoring four more touchdowns.
He was named the Region 1-2A Offensive Player of the year.
Neas was also one of the Rebels top defensive players as he made 63 tackles with two interceptions and two fumble recoveries.
Brayden Greene, Chuckey-Doak – Running Back
Chuckey-Doak’s Brayden Greene was one of the areas top running backs this season. He ran for 852 yards, and six touchdowns while averaging 5.35 yards per carry. On defense he made 42 tackles and had one interception.
Zaydyn Anderson, Greeneville – Wide Receiver
University of Tennessee signee Zaydyn Anderson had one of the best seasons at receiver in Greeneville High School history this fall. He caught 40 passes for 1,169 yards and 18 touchdowns while averaging 29.2 yards per catch.
He set program records for single games receiving yards, with 245 yards against Volunteer, and for receiving touchdowns in a game with four.
On defense Anderson had 25 tackles, one interception and six pass break ups.
He was named the Region 1-4A Co-Player of the Year.
Cole Franklin, Greeneville – Wide Receiver
Cole Franklin closed out his senior season in style and became one of the area’s most productive receivers. He caught 30 passes for 654 yards with eight touchdowns. He averaged 21.8 yards per catch.
He also punted 16 times and averaged 38 yards per punt.
Dom Atchison, Chuckey-Doak – Wide Receiver
Chuckey-Doak’s Dom Atchison led the county in receptions this season with 50 catches for 496 yards and five touchdowns. On defense he had 24 tackles, with four pass break up and one interception.
Bishop Merriweather, Greeneville – Offensive Line
Greeneville senior Bishop Merriweather dominated the line of scrimmage for the Greene Devils this season and helped the team reach the state semifinals. Behind Merriweather Greeneville ran for 2,865 yards and averaged 7.8 yards per rush attempts. In addition to that Merriweather helped the Devils produce 416.3 yards and 43.7 points per game this season.
On defense Merriweather had 39 tackles, seven tackles for loss, one sack and four quarterback pressures.
He was named the Region 1-4A Offensive Lineman of the Year.
Owen Pierce, North Greene – Offensive Line
Owen Pierce was one of the top blockers in Region1-1A this year as he led North Greene from his left tackle spot. He was named first team All-Region 1-1A. Pierce led the way for an offense that ran for 2,015 yards and averaged 7.1 yards per carry.
Damion Sentelle, West Greene – Offensive Line
Damion Sentelle was a leader for West Greene on both sides of the ball for West Greene this season and was named to the All-County team as an offensive lineman. He was one of the team’s best blockers, but he also showed some versatility as an occasional runner. In fact, the big man gained 70 yards and was second on the team with three touchdowns.
On defense he made 40 tackles, with five tackles for loss and an interception. He was first team All-Region 1-2A.
Heath Norton, South Greene – Offensive Line
Heath Norton anchored South Greene’s offensive line this season and was named the Region 1-2A Offensive lineman of the year. He led the way for an offense that ran for 2,879 yards and averaged 7.2 yards per carry while scoring 33 points per game.
Colton Silver, South Greene – Offensive Line
Colton Silvers was important piece on both sides of the line scrimmage for South Greene this season. He paved the way for 2,879 rushing yards and 33 points per game this season.
On defense Silvers made 24 tackles with one sack. He was named first team All-Region 1-2A.
Brayden Weems, North Greene – Athlete
Senior Brayden Weems was one of the most important pieces of North Greene’s offense this season as he helped the Huskies earn a home playoff game for the second year in a row.
He ran the ball 80 times for 687 yards and scored 11 times while averaging 8.6 yards per carry. He also had a kick return for a touchdown. On defense Weems made 18 tackles.
Sam Gourley, Greeneville – Kicker
Sam Gourley was a reliable leg for Greeneville all season and because of that he has been named our All-County kicker. He made 77-of-80 extra points and was 2-for-3 on field goals. On kickoffs he averaged 56.4 yards per kick with 49 touchbacks on 95 attempts.
