Greeneville Flyboys 5 – Danville Otterbots 0
In a rematch of last year’s championship game, Greeneville got the best of Danville 5-0 to open the 2025 Appalachian League season. The Flyboys made the most of their five hits, while their pitching staff dominated—holding the Otterbots scoreless, striking out 18, and allowing just four hits despite issuing 11 walks.
Mycha Jordan (Virginia Tech), Dylan Jackson (Long Beach State), and Tyler Inge (Michigan) all picked up where they left off last season. Jordan went 1-for-3 with a triple, a stolen base, and two runs scored. Jackson was 1-for-3 with an RBI double, and Inge added a 1-for-4 performance with an RBI single.
Collin Adams got the start on the mound, striking out six and allowing two hits over three innings. Justin Abercrombie earned the win with two hitless innings of relief, striking out six along the way.
