AUSTIN, Texas — Tusculum University sprinter Qitarah Castlin has been named to the 2026 NCAA Division II Women’s Cross Country / Track & Field Academic All-America® third team as selected by the College Sports Communicators.
The 2026 Academic All-America® Women’s Cross Country / Track & Field team recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the track and in the classroom.
Castlin, a sophomore sprinter from Griffin, Georgia, has a 3.62 GPA while majoring in sport management. She is a member of the South Atlantic Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll, Tusculum Athletic Director’s Honor Roll, Dean’s List and Charles Oliver Gray Honors List.
Castlin earned All-America honors in the 100 meters, 200 meters and 4×100 relay at the 2026 NCAA Outdoor Championship, running the leadoff leg on the gold medal-winning 4×100. She also participated in the 60 meters and 200 meters at the NCAA Indoor Championship.
Castlin took silver in both the 100 and 200 meters at the SAC Outdoor Championship and ran on the winning 4×100 relay, and at the SAC Indoor Championship she was second in the 60 meters, third in the 200 meters and a member of the first-place 4×400 relay. She is a seven-time All-Region honoree (four outdoor, three indoor).
She becomes the second Tusculum women’s track & field student-athlete to garner Academic All-America® honors but the first TU sprinter to do so.
The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women’s cross country / track & field honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-2026 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs.
