The Appalachian League has named Greeneville Flyboy catcher Owen ten Oever as the first Player of the Week for the 2026 season.
Through the first three games of the season, the Indiana freshman was 7-for-14 at the plate for a 0.500 batting average. He homered three times, doubled once, drove in six runs and scored six times. He currently leads the league in homers and is tied for the league lead in runs scored.
The Flyboys are off to a 2-1 start and are on the road for three games in Danville before returning to Eastman Credit Union Field at Pioneer Park where they will have their opener against the Pulaski River Turtles on Thursday, June 11.
