The Elizabethton Cyclones edged the Greene Devils in high school tennis on Thursday. Betsy won overall 5-4.
In boys single’s, Greeneville’s Jackson Weems shut out the Cyclones Anderson Hallman and Jack Lamp beat Dhilon Patel 8-1. Isaac McGill beat Max Frickle 8-3.
In doubles, Weems and Patel won 8-3 and Nick Thomas and Lampe dropped a tie-breaker 7-9.
The Devils face Morristown West today before road matches at Morristown East on Thursday and Cherokee next Tuesday. The Devils return home on Thursday, March 28, against Northview Academy.
Home matches begin at 4:00 PM at the Greene County Tennis Center at 1209 Hal Henard Road.
