Both Greeneville boys and girls tennis teams beat the Morristown West Trojans in matches at the Greene County Tennis Center on Tuesday.
Jackson Weems shut out West’s Bradley Greene 8-0 while Nick Thomas and Ace Patel both won their matches 8-4. Jack Lampe won a tie-breaker 7-2, while Dominic Tweed lost his tie-breaker 7-3.
Weems/Lampe and Thomas/Patel also won their doubles matches as the boys won overall 6-3.
The Lady Devils won overall 7-2, with five of the six Lady Devils winning their singles
matches. Emma Sauceman, Maggie Morelock, Kiley Scott, Abi Kate Moore, and Jorja Ward all picked up wins.
Morelock/Scott and Moore and Brylee Catron won their doubles match. Emma Waddell and Emma Sauceman lost their tiebreaker in the doubles match.
The Devils have road matches at Morristown East on Thursday and Cherokee next Tuesday. The Devils return home on Thursday, March 28, against Northview Academy.
Home matches begin at 4:00 PM at the Greene County Tennis Center at 1209 Hal Henard Road.
