The GHS girls dropped their first match of the season, losing to Jefferson County 7-2. Brylee Catron won her singles match and Emma Waddell and Emma Sauceman won their doubles match. Waddell and Maggie Morelock both lost close tiebreakers in singles play. The loss drops the Lady Devils to 5-1.
The Greene Devils Boys improved to 5-1 overall with their 9-0 win over the Patriots. Jackson Weems, Nick Thomas, Ace Patel, Dominic Tweed, and Isaac McGill all won their singles matches, with Jack Lampe winning his in a tie breaker game. The boys also won all three doubles matches.
Jack Lampe and Brylee Catron were the “game ballers” for the teams.
Greeneville goes on the road on Thursday and Friday to face Tennessee High and Seymour next week before returning home on April 15 against Science Hill.
