The Greeneville football season would come to an end on Friday as the Greene Devils would fall to Upperman 21-14 in the state semifinals from Burley Stadium. The loss would be the first of the season for Greeneville, but the loss would end the season for the Greene Devils and send the Upperman Bees to the state title game for the first time in school history.
Upperman would use a strong rushing attack led by the duo of Ethan Palk and Bronzden Chaffin and defensively, hold the Greene Devils under 20 rushing yards for the game. Corbin Cannon would throw for 205 yards and a touchdown while Carson Quillen would also throw for one score in the game. Zaydyn Anderson led the Greene Devils through the air with 88 receiving yards and two scores.
Greeneville finishes the season 11-1 and will return many of their statistical leaders from this season including Quillen and Anderson.
