Pioneers Finish Ninth At Crabtree Invitational

OWENSBORO, Ky. — The Tusculum University men’s golf team finished ninth at the 2024 Bill Crabtree Invitational. The two-day, 36-hole tournament was hosted by Kentucky Wesleyan and held at The Pearl Club.

The Pioneers posted a team score of 594 as TU carded back-to-back rounds of 297 in the 14-team tournament field.

Missouri S&T led wire-to-wire as the Miners posted an 18-under par score of 558, winning by 10 strokes over runner-up Gannon (568). McKendree finished third with 578, followed by Southern Indiana (584), Ferris State (585), Kentucky State (591), Kentucky Wesleyan (592), Maryville, Mo. (593), Tusculum (594), Illinois Springfield (597), Purdue Northwest (603), Brescia (628), Kentucky Wesleyan B (629) and John A. Logan (646).

Missouri S&T’s Isaac To captured medalist honors by finishing with a six-under par total 68-70=138 for a one-shot win over runner-up Rasmus Seppanen of Gannon (71-68=139).

Tusculum’s Buster O’Callaghan carded a four-under par score of 68 in Tuesday’s final round for a 14-stroke improvement from Monday. His two-day total of 150 moved him into a tie for 32^nd place with teammate Hunter Hartman (72-78=150). Liam van Deventer finished 36^th with 71-80=151, Blake Williams was 38^th with 76-76=152, Liam Hermansson placed 49^th with 79-75=154 and Marinus Jeebe tied for 72^nd place with 78-84=162.

Tusculum wraps up its fall schedule and returns to action Feb. 10-11, 2025 as they compete at the Spring Kickoff Intercollegiate in St. Augustine, Florida.
