ROCK HILL, S.C. — The Tusculum University women’s beach volleyball team put its top flight of Brynn Smith and Hannah Marsh on the first team of the inaugural South Atlantic Conference Carolinas all-conference list, released on Thursday (Apr. 10).

Smith, a sophomore from Wellsburg, Iowa, and Marsh, a junior from Gulf Shores, Alabama, went 9-7 (7-3 SACC) as a pair. At the top flight, the duo went 6-7 and a perfect 3-0 at the second slot. Smith and Marsh claimed wins over Wingate (twice), Erskine (twice), Lynchburg, Division I Austin Peay, Carson-Newman, Emmanuel, and Catawba throughout the season. Seven of their wins came in straight sets.

Tusculum enters this weekend’s (Apr. 11-12) South Atlantic Conference Carolinas Championship as the No. 2 seed in the tournament. After Tuesday’s Division I tune-up, the Pioneers finished the regular season with an 8-12 (6-4 SACC) record.
