West Greene 55, North Greene 38
The West Greene boys basketball team spread around the attack on Thursday while locking down on defense to beat North Greene 55-38 on Thursday night.
Tytus Shelton led the Buffaloes with 17 points, Elijah Williams had 15 points and Ayden Lamons scored 14 points. For North Greene Jaiden Bailey was in double figures with 13 points.

Cherokee 71, Chuckey-Doak 38
Chuckey-Doak struggled to get shots to fall and couldn’t stop Cherokee’s hot offense in a 71-38 loss on the road.
Gavin Crum nailed a trio of triples in the fourth and led Chuckey-Doak with nine points. Isaiah Jones and Braxton Markham led the Chiefs with 15 points and Elijah Carmack scored 14.
They are set to host Cloudland on Saturday for their next contest.
GIRLS
North Greene 55, West Greene 40
The North Greene girls basketball team turned things around in the second half on Thursday night to earn a 55-40 win over West Greene.
The Lady Huskies trailed by seven points early in the second half, but swung the game with a 16-0 run in the third quarter. Tralyn Southerland led that effort with six points in the run and 15 points in the second half. She finished the night with a game high 23 points.
West Greene did not put a player in double figures, but Madison Wagner scored nine points.
Thursday’s win was the 500th for James Buchanan as the coach of the Lady Huskies.

Cherokee 66, Chuckey-Doak 27
Chuckey-Doak suffered a 66-27 loss to Cherokee on Thursday night.
The Lady Knights were outmatched and out skilled and struggled to put together anything on offense. Carlene Bishop led the way with 8 points for Chuckey-Doak. Cherokee’s Rylee Sivert led all scorers with 26 points.
Chuckey-Doak is set to host Cloudland on Saturday for their next contest.
