Greeneville 11, Volunteer 1
The Greeneville baseball team stayed perfect in District 2-3A action on Tuesday night with an 11-1 win over Volunteer.
On the mound Will Harmon shut down the Falcons with nine strikeouts, four walks and two hits in five innings of work. Jaxon Winter threw the final inning with one strikeout, one walk and no hits allowed.
Harmon also led the offense with a 3-for-3 performance with two doubles and three RBIs. Battery mate Noah Murray was 3-for-3 with a double and one RBI.
Carson Norris was 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Maddow Bishop had two RBIs and scored two runs. Carson Quillen scored two runs. As a team Greeneville earned 13 hits.
Tuesday’s win improved Greeneville to 20-5 on the year. The Greene Devils will be back in action on Wednesday at Oak Ridge.
Chuckey-Doak 11, Morristown East 10
The Chuckey-Doak baseball team picked up an 11-10 win over Morristown East in eight innings on Tuesday.
With the game tied at 10-10 in the bottom of the eighth inning James Seidl knocked a single through the right side of the infield that scored Kiptyn Ball from third base to win the game in walk off fashion.
Chuckey-Doak pounded 10 hits in the win. Jake Hinkle was 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBIs. Ball, Seidl and Lynkin Cutshall all had two hits. Dom Atchison had a double for the Black Knights.
Hinkle threw five innings on Tuesday. He struck out five, walked one and allowed 10 hits. Cutshaw earned the win in relief. In one inning he struck out two, walked one and allowed no hits.
West Greene 13, Johnson County 2
The West Greene baseball team went to Johnson County on Tuesday and picked up a 13-2 win that makes the Buffaloes 8-2 in District 1-2A play.
Braden McCamey earned the win on the rubber. In six innings he struck out eight, walked three and allowed two hits.
At the plate the Buffaloes earned eight hits. Conner Campbell was 2-for-5 with two runs scored. Jayden Cox was 1-for-2 with three RBIs. McCamey had a double, Brandon Hunter had a double, and Jacob Greene had a triple with two RBIs.
Happy Valley 20, North Greene 1
The North Greene baseball team fell to Happy Valley 20-1 on Tuesday.
The Huskies earned just two hits. Jake Duffy and Wyatt Burns each had a single.
On the mound Tyler Britton took the loss. In two innings he struck out one, walked one, and allowed five hits.
SOFTBALL
South Greene 21, West Greene 7
The South Greene softball team moved to 7-0 in District 1-2A play on Tuesday with a 21-7 win over West Greene.
The Lady Rebels pounded 13 hits, and took advantage of six walks and six errors.
Madison Hensley was 2-for-3 with a triple and four runs scored. Pailsey Brobeck went 2-for-3 with a triple, four RBIs and two runs scored. Kortnei Bailey was 2-for-3 with four RBIs and five runs scored. Whitney Reaves had a double and scored five runs.
West Greene earned eight hits on Tuesday. Morgan Brown was 2-for-4 with a triple and double. Hayley Arnold and Addison Peters each had a triple. Arnold drove in two runs.
Bailey earned the win in the circle. In 4 2/3 innings she struck out two, walked two and allowed eight hits. Neveah Davis threw 1 1/3 innings with one walk, no strikeouts and no hits allowed.
North Greene 11, University High 1
The North Greene softball team earned an 11-1 win over University High on Tuesday.
The Lady Huskies used eight hits to score their 11 runs. Josie Graham went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBIs. Loren Blevins had a home runs with two RBIs and two runs scored. Hannah Brooks was 2-for-3 with two runs scored.
In the circle Matti Phillips threw three innings with three strikeouts, three walks and three hits allowed. Charlie Turnmire threw two innings with two strikeouts, no walks and one hit allowed.
Greeneville 17, Volunteer 7
The Greeneville softball team went to Grainger on Tuesday and came back with a big 17-7 win.
The Lady Devils pounded 14 hits in the victory. Kyla Jobe was 2-for-4 with a double, triple, two RBIs and two runs scored. Destani Bailey was 2-for-2 and reached base four times. Addie Lamons was 2-for-5 with a home run and five RBIs. Gabby Atchison went 2-for-5 with a home run. Kaley Garland was 1-for-3 with a home run, two RBIs and three runs scored. Kinsle Lewandowski was 2-for-4 with a double. In total nine Lady Devils earned a hit.
In the circle Brynlee Jones earned the win in relief. In six innings she struck out five, walked two and allowed nine hits.

Greeneville 3, Morristown East 1
The Greeneville soccer team earned a 3-1 win at Morristown East on Tuesday.
