North Greene 45, Cosby 40
The North Greene girls extended their home winning streak to 28 games and improved to 15-2 on the year by taking down Cosby 45-40 on Tuesday night.
Tralyn Southerland led North Greene with 14 points. Senior Ella Head scored 13 points and went 6-for-6 from the free-throw line. Eva Leonard also scored 11.
Cosby’s Azariah Spurgeon scored a game-high 20 points to lead all scorers. Matissa Bible scored 10 points.
Greeneville 60, Alcoa 57
The Greeneville girls turned in a strong performance on both ends of the floor and took down Alcoa 60-57 on Tuesday night.
Maria Lyde led the Lady Devils’ in the win with 20 points, and seven rebounds. Brylee Tullock had 15 points, nine rebounds and nine assists, and Julia Woolsey scored 13 points.
Brylee Flatt led Alcoa with 16 points and Kadie Bremer had 14.
Cherokee 73, Chuckey-Doak 38
The Chuckey-Doak girls fell to Cherokee on Tuesday night, 73-38.
Rylee Sivert led the Lady Chiefs with 18 points and Addie Lawson added 12. For Chuckey-Doak Jayden Myers scored 11 points.
West Greene 53, Gibbs 45

Cosby 63, North Greene 57
The North Greene boys stayed within striking distance the whole night, but could not get past Cosby in a 63-57 loss. It was North Greene’s seventh single-digit loss of the season.
Only five players scored, but all five entered double figures. Thomas Darnell led with 15 points. Jaiden Bailey and Isaac Gaby scored 13 while Tyler Britton and Havoc Fair scored 11.
Cosby’s Cruz Coggins put on a show and led all scorers with a game-high 28 points. Cooper Davis entered double figures with 11.
Alcoa 64, Greeneville 55
The Greeneville boys fought back on Tuesday night, but a strong closing stretch by Alcoa led to the Tornadoes taking 64-55 win.
The Greene Devils erased a nine-point halftime deficit and led by three points in the fourth quarter, but Alcoa scored the final 12 points on Tuesday to earn the win.
Yordan Mills led Greeneville with 19 points, Braylen Kidwell had 12 points and Zy Neal scored 11.
Alcoa was led by a 36-point performance from Jay Kirk.
West Greene 67, Gibbs 54
Cherokee 79, Chuckey-Doak 53
The Chuckey-Doak boys fell to Cherokee 79-53 on Tuesday night.
Chuckey-Doak’s Ryland Grindstaff scored a game-high 20 points and Ben Palazzo chipped in with 10 points.
Elijah Carmack led Cherokee with 17 points, and Eli Markham scored 14.
