Greeneville’s tennis players participated in the District Individual Tournament on Monday and Tuesday at the Sevierville City Park. Six of their members advanced to the semi-finals on the second day.
Doubles teams of Emma Waddell and Emma Sauceman, along with Ace Patel and Nick Thomas, battled but fell in their quest for a title and an opportunity to advance to next week’s regionals.
Jackson Weems and Jack Lampe both advanced to the finals, securing their birth in regional competition on Monday at the Sevierville City Park. In the finals, Weems would prevail 6-0, 6-0, capping off a tournament where he did not lose a single game.
