Greeneville 7 – Tri State 6 (6-innings)
Jace Patton recorded two hits, including a double, while Dylan Jackson added a double and drove in a run as the Greeneville Flyboys edged the Tri-State Coal Cats 7–6 in a rain-shortened game that was called after six innings.
Hunter Sloop came on in relief of Kyle Bade, allowing just one hit and striking out one over two innings to secure the win.
The Flyboys now trail the Kingsport Axmen by 1.5 games as they head into a weekend series against the Burlington Sock Puppets at Pioneer Park. Game one is scheduled for Saturday evening at 7:00, followed by a seven-inning contest on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
