Elizabethton 11 – Greeneville 4
Greeneville and Elizabethton faced off Wednesday evening at Pioneer Park, with the Flyboys aiming to gain ground in the divisional race. Both teams were competitive at the plate, with the River Riders edging out a 9-8 advantage in hits. However, the difference came in free passes, as Elizabethton capitalized on 11 walks to secure an 11-4 victory.
TJ Adams led the Flyboys with a double and a single, while Jace Patton added a pair of singles.
With the loss, the Flyboys remain three games behind the Axmen in the Western Division and now see the Doughboys closing in—just three games back from the second playoff spot.
Greeneville will open a two-game series against the Bristol State Liners on Thursday in Johnson City. First pitch is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
