Through four weeks of the high school football season, Greeneville has only been able to complete two games and now, is without an opponent for week five this Friday.
After many teams in the state were rained and stormed out on Friday, including Greeneville, teams were forced to play this past weekend including South Greene, Chuckey-Doak, and Elizabethton. But, Morristown West and Daniel Boone decided to move their game to the following Thursday which will result in both teams’ matchups with Greeneville and Elizabethton respectively being canceled.
Greeneville, who has had two no contests this year due to storms during their games with Dobyns-Bennett and Alcoa, now is left without an opponent for Friday night, but head coach Eddie Spradlen is actively looking for a team to play either this Friday or during the Greeneville bye week on October 13.
We will have further updates on Greeneville’s schedule updates throughout the week.
