CHUCKEY, Tenn. — Tusculum University senior Lawson Harkey finished tied for fourth place to earn All-Tournament honors at the 2025 Bob Dibble Memorial Men’s Golf Tournament.

Harkey finished the 54-hole event with an even-par 216 as a member of the Tusculum B team.

The Tusculum A squad posted a three-round, aggregate score of 880 including Tuesday’s final round 292 to finish third. Tusculum B tied for sixth place with 892, while Tusculum C finished 12th with 908.

Belmont Abbey A led the tournament wire-to-wire to capture the team title with a 10-under par score of 860. Coker A finished runner-up with 875, followed by Tusculum A (880), King A (885) and Roane State to round out the top-five.

Coker B and Tusculum B tied for sixth place at 892. Southern Wesleyan and North Greenville tied for eighth place with 893 and UVA Wise and Walters State tied for 10th at 905. Tusculum C and Mars Hill A each finished with 908 and tied for 12th. Ferrum was 14th with 911, followed by Belmont Abbey B (916), King B (933), Mars Hill B (955) and Milligan B (982).

Mariano Rincon of Belmont Abbey A outlasted Coker A’s Thomas Broshears for the individual medal. Rincon carded three rounds in the 60’s this week including a final round 69 to finish with a 10-under par total 206. Broshears was second with 69-68-71=208, Max Newton (Belmont Abbey A) was third with 68-72-71=211, while Harkey and Nathan Hopley (King A) tied for fourth place with 216 to comprise the All-Tournament Team.

The Tusculum A team was led this week by Ed Linley who tied for 14th place with 78-68-73=219. Fraser Laird and George Evans tied for 18th place with 220, Matthew Hogan was 34th with 225 and Harrison Price finished 51st with 229.

The Tusculum B Team was sparked by Harkey’s career-low performance with his even-par 216. Hayden Shrewsbury tied for 25th place with 77-70-76=223, while Buster O’Callaghan carded 73-77-75=225 to place 34th. Dylan Side finished 47th with 73-77-78=228, while Koltt Bassham shot 78-84-80=242 (T82).

The Tusculum C Team had a pair of golfers who accounted for top-10 performances. Joe Stevenson posted a one-over par total 217 including a one-under par 71 on Tuesday to tie for sixth place. Marinus Jeebe had the low round of the tournament for the Pioneers with his five-under par 67. Jeebe’s card was unblemished as he logged five birdies and 13 pars for his collegiate career-low.

Ryland Chaney (77-80-77=234, T69) and Caleb Bennett (76-80-83=239, 78th) to comprise the scoring for Tusculum C.

The Bob Dibble Memorial is named in honor of Tusculum’s Hall of Fame head golf coach who guided the TU men’s and women’s teams from 1989-2017. Dibble, who founded this tournament in 1994, passed away in February.

TU returns to action Oct. 27-28 as the Pioneers compete at the Bearcat Fall Classic in Ninety-Six, South Carolina and hosted by Lander. This will wrap-up the fall portion of the Tusculum schedule.
