Greeneville 12 – Johnson City 7
Greeneville hosted Johnson City for the final home game of the 2025 season and sent the fans home happy with a 12-7 victory. Despite being outhit 11-5, the Flyboys capitalized on a Doughboys pitching staff that struggled mightily, issuing 17 walks and hitting two batters.
Danny Wallace led the offense with a double and a single, driving in three runs. Ezra McNaughton added to his stellar season with his league-leading 12th home run. Reid Haire and Jace Patton each chipped in with a single to round out Greeneville’s five hits.
Evan Kay earned the win in relief, tossing two shutout innings while allowing just one hit, walking two, and striking out two.
The Flyboys will wrap up the regular season in Johnson City before heading to Kingsport to open the playoffs on Thursday. First pitch for both games is set for 7:00 p.m.
