Youth in Greeneville/Greene County have the opportunity to try the fastest-growing youth sport in the U.S., lacrosse, at no charge.
Greeneville Lacrosse Club will host a USA Lacrosse Pick Up and Play event on Sunday, November 2nd, from 5 PM to 7 PM and again on November 9th, from 2 PM to 4 PM. Both events will be held at the Tusculum University Indoor Practice Facility, located at 209 Shiloh Road, Greeneville, TN.
Tusculum University’s Men’s and Women’s current lacrosse players, along with alumni players who are current Greeneville Lacrosse Club (GLC) coaches, will lead the clinics. Pick Up and Play boasts zero registration fees, as well as no equipment to purchase. The GLC is supporting a risk-free lacrosse test drive for players and parents’ pocketbooks.
GLC Coach and Tusculum Men’s Lacrosse Alumni, Austin Wallace, encourages Greene County youth to come out. “Lacrosse is fast-paced, fun, and a great conditioning sport for current fall sport athletes. This is a great, free chance to try a new sport that’s growing rapidly in East Tennessee.”
USA Lacrosse National Celebrate Lacrosse Week includes free Pick Up and Play clinics across the country, designed to give youth players a chance to try out the sport and connect with local lacrosse organizations.
Lacrosse is a TSSAA-sanctioned school sport in Tennessee. Tusculum University is home to both ladies’ and men’s lacrosse teams.
