Greeneville’s baseball team hosted Claiborne for a conference double header Monday evening at Dale Alexander Field and came away with a pair of wins, 18-1 in Game 1 and 10-0 in Game 2.
In the first game, the Devils jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the first thanks to a couple of Bulldog miscues and two big blasts, a triple from Kayne Ricker and a double from Colton Smith.
From that point on, Greeneville erupted for 10 more in the second and pull away to win 18-1. Maddox Bishop and Smith both picked up two hits (a double and single) on the day and drove in a total of 5 runs.

Randen Fillers got the start on the mound (and win) going 3 1/3 innings and collecting 8 strikeouts while surrendering 3 hits, 1 run, and 2 walks. Carson Norris came on in relief to close out the contest with 2 strikeouts.
In the second game, the Greene Devil offense pushed runs across the plate in every inning and pulled away to the 10-0 win and run their record to 9-6 on the year and 5-1 in the conference.
Carson Quillen cracked two doubles in the contest and drove in 3 runs, while Will Harmon picked up a double and single, and Colton Richards came in with a double that collected 3 RBI’s.

Koby Munday, who got the start and win in game two, along with Carson Norris and Sam Thompson completing the shutout by allowing only 1 hit, striking out 7 and walking 5.

Greeneville is scheduled to host Science Hill on Thursday afternoon at Dale Alexander Field with the first pitch being set for 5:00
